When I saw this gif I had a good belly laugh:

So in the course of my move to Kentucky and then to Hungary I’ve been stressed with the effort to find a home for my two-year old cats, Leo and Viv. I called several family members and unfortunately not one was willing to foster them while I was away. I was hurt by this because I consider my cats members of the family and assumed that my family would think similarly and was surprised to find otherwise. I waited until I had no other choice but had to take Leo and Viv to the humane society in Missoula. I was calling family right up until the moment I pulled into the humane society parking lot and unfortunately got no answer as I took my kitties into the waiting room. During the intake interview I cried a bit as Leo and Viv meowed.
Leo and Viv were found on the side of the road in Butte after their mother had been run over so I considered them very special considering their unfortunate situation. I adopted them when they were six weeks old and ever since the little orange furballs have been affectionate companions. During the intake interview I implored them to keep them together and they even assured me that they would notify me once they were adopted, which was thoughtful. I hope that they are adopted by a loving family as they deserve nothing less.
Here is our latest picture from the collection of Nascence photography contributor, Linda Kuster. This week’s theme is REGRET.
It appears that Garfield just did something he regretted. =)
I found this while perusing the blog FourFour. It appears to be one of the latest entries in the Sh*t______say meme and I am sure that I am guilty of at least a few of these because my friends know that I love my kittens.
Revisiting the annals of a cat-owner…
I worked over last night and arrived home tired and just wanting to watch some TV and not think for a little while. My roommate had fixed some delicious stir-fry and had bought some scrumptious mini-Cinnamon Rolls. Now picture me lounging on the couch with a couple of those rolls. If you know me you know that I have a very large sweet tooth. As I am watching Rachel Maddow one of my cats, Viv, takes a swipe at my rolls and knocks them down onto the floor. He scurries toward them pupils dilated in total anticipation of some sweet goodness but I reach them first and scoop them up placing them on the kitchen counter. I was a tad annoyed at my kitty saying “Viv, you little asshole.” And that was the end of it. So I thought.
Later that night I was in the midst of restful slumber when Viv apparently jumped onto the bed and bit my right buttock! He has had his revenge now. In addition to the title of the craziest pussycat I’ve ever had. My bedroom door will be closed moving forward.
My cats’ ability to reproduce was eliminated recently. Leo and Vivaldo, my three month old orange tabby kittens, were swaddled in towels to stay warm and completely conked out from the anesthesia. They were pinnacles of lovableness. That was until…Vivaldo started, slowly, to stir. He meowed a little and I cooed and petted him to reassure him. And then I muttered “Hmmm, my leg feels awfully warm”. My slumbering kitty had relieved himself on my leg. So this soiled clinic volunteer quickly went to the bathroom with memories of an unfortunate middle school cafeteria accident involving orange juice…
Now, completely recovered, they’ve fully returned to their role in the family as purring snooze alarms.
